Ingredients:

  • 4 Salmon Fillets (about 6 oz / 170g each)
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher or Sea Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • 4 thin Lemon slices (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets thoroughly dry with paper towels. Place the fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between pieces.
  4. Spoon or brush the marinade evenly over the top of each fillet. Place a thin slice of lemon on top of each piece if desired.
  5. Transfer the sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish.
  6. Check for doneness: The salmon is ready when it flakes easily with a fork when gently pressed, or when the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let the salmon rest for 2 minutes before plating and serving immediately.
