Ingredients:
- 4 Salmon Fillets (about 6 oz / 170g each)
- 3 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Kosher or Sea Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper, freshly ground
- 4 thin Lemon slices (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Pat the salmon fillets thoroughly dry with paper towels. Place the fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between pieces.
- Spoon or brush the marinade evenly over the top of each fillet. Place a thin slice of lemon on top of each piece if desired.
- Transfer the sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish.
- Check for doneness: The salmon is ready when it flakes easily with a fork when gently pressed, or when the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the salmon rest for 2 minutes before plating and serving immediately.
