Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170 g) tilapia fillets
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
- 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 cup (50 g) finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp (2 g) garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp (1 g) smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp (3 g) kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp (1 g) cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Pat each tilapia fillet completely dry with paper towels. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking and help the seasoning adhere.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the finely grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and cracked black pepper.
- Press the top of each fillet firmly into the cheese mixture, ensuring a thick, even layer of breading on the surface.
- Place fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving at least 1/2 inch of space between each piece. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes until the crust is mahogany-colored and the fish flakes easily.
- Immediately after removing from the air fryer, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top of each fillet.
