Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170 g) tilapia fillets
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp (2 g) garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp (1 g) smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp (3 g) kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 g) cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Pat each tilapia fillet completely dry with paper towels. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking and help the seasoning adhere.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the finely grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and cracked black pepper.
  3. Press the top of each fillet firmly into the cheese mixture, ensuring a thick, even layer of breading on the surface.
  4. Place fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving at least 1/2 inch of space between each piece. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes until the crust is mahogany-colored and the fish flakes easily.
  5. Immediately after removing from the air fryer, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top of each fillet.
