Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk
  • 1 large egg
  • Vegetable oil (for frying, enough to submerge the Oreos)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add milk and egg, and mix until smooth.
  3. Cover and refrigerate the batter for about 30 minutes.
  4. In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
  5. Dip each Oreo into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.
  6. Carefully drop the battered Oreos into the hot oil.
  7. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  8. Use a slotted spoon to remove fried Oreos and drain on paper towels.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
