Ingredients:
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (240ml) milk
- 1 large egg
- Vegetable oil (for frying, enough to submerge the Oreos)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk and egg, and mix until smooth.
- Cover and refrigerate the batter for about 30 minutes.
- In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
- Dip each Oreo into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Carefully drop the battered Oreos into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove fried Oreos and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
