Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 medium lemon, juiced and zested
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Pat the shrimp completely dry with a paper towel and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a 12-inch stainless steel or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  3. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes without moving them until they develop a light golden crust. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until opaque.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Turn off the heat immediately. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and fresh parsley, tossing until the shrimp are coated in the glaze.
