Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (15 ml)
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika (10 g)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (4 g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (4 g)
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (2 g)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin (2 g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (6 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (2 g)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (15 g) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, and lime juice. Toss to coat evenly and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Sprinkle the spice blend over the shrimp. Toss until shrimp are evenly coated.
  4. Allow shrimp to marinate for at least 15 minutes to enhance flavor.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).
  6. Thread marinated shrimp onto skewers.
  7. Place skewers on the grill. Grill each side for 3-4 minutes or until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  8. Remove from skewers and garnish with chopped parsley (if using). Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
