Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (15 ml)
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika (10 g)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (4 g)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (4 g)
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (2 g)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin (2 g)
- 1 teaspoon salt (6 g)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (2 g)
- Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (15 g) for garnish
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, and lime juice. Toss to coat evenly and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Sprinkle the spice blend over the shrimp. Toss until shrimp are evenly coated.
- Allow shrimp to marinate for at least 15 minutes to enhance flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).
- Thread marinated shrimp onto skewers.
- Place skewers on the grill. Grill each side for 3-4 minutes or until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Remove from skewers and garnish with chopped parsley (if using). Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
