Ingredients:

  • 2 whole sea bream (cleaned and scaled)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill) - about ¼ cup chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges (for garnish)
  • Extra fresh herbs (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  3. Rinse the sea bream under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  4. Score the skin on each side of the fish with shallow cuts.
  5. Place the fish in a large dish or resealable plastic bag.
  6. Pour the marinade over the fish ensuring it coats both sides well.
  7. Remove sea bream from marinade; let excess drip off before placing it on grill grates.
  8. Place fish directly onto grill; cook for about 5–7 minutes per side, depending on thickness until flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  9. Carefully remove grilled sea bream from grill using spatula or tongs.
  10. Serve immediately garnished with fresh herbs and lemon wedges on the side.
