Ingredients:
- 2 whole sea bream (cleaned and scaled)
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill) - about ¼ cup chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges (for garnish)
- Extra fresh herbs (for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Rinse the sea bream under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Score the skin on each side of the fish with shallow cuts.
- Place the fish in a large dish or resealable plastic bag.
- Pour the marinade over the fish ensuring it coats both sides well.
- Remove sea bream from marinade; let excess drip off before placing it on grill grates.
- Place fish directly onto grill; cook for about 5–7 minutes per side, depending on thickness until flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Carefully remove grilled sea bream from grill using spatula or tongs.
- Serve immediately garnished with fresh herbs and lemon wedges on the side.
