Ingredients:
- 2 whole sea bream, cleaned and scaled (about 1 lb each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 lemons (1 sliced into rounds, 1 juiced)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Rinse the sea bream under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Make three diagonal cuts on each side of the fish to help it cook evenly.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Rub this marinade generously over both sides of the fish as well as inside the cavity.
- Let marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or up to an hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F /200°C).
- Place lemon slices inside the cavities of each fish.
- Lightly oil the grill grates or use non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
- Carefully place the marinated fish on the grill.
- Grill for about 6–8 minutes per side, depending on thickness; use a spatula to flip carefully.
- The fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork and has an internal temperature of at least 145°F (63°C).
