Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill for medium-high heat.
  2. Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse under cold water.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine green beans, olive oil, salt, and pepper; toss to coat.
  4. Place the green beans directly on the grill or in a grill basket; cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until charred and tender.
  5. Whisk together lemon juice, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and honey (if using) in a small bowl until well combined.
  6. Once the green beans are grilled, toss them in the lemon-garlic dressing.
  7. Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with fresh parsley, and enjoy!
