Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) large raw prawns (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
  • ¾ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, coriander, cayenne, sea salt, black pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  2. Add the prawns to the marinade while ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).
  4. If using skewers, thread the prawns onto the skewers.
  5. Place marinated prawns on the grill. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Optional: Brush lightly with remaining marinade while grilling.
  6. Remove from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
