Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread (e.g., sourdough, white, or your favourite loaf)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened (28g)
- 2-3 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, mozzarella, or a blend) (approximately 50-75g)
- Pinch of garlic powder, onion powder, or dried herbs (such as oregano or basil) (Optional)
Instructions:
- Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, on a plate. Layer the cheese evenly on top. Add any optional seasonings (garlic powder, herbs, etc.) at this stage.
- Place the second slice of bread on top of the cheese, butter-side up.
- Carefully place the assembled sandwich in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 370°F (188°C) for 3-4 minutes. Check for golden-brown colour.
- Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
- Remove the grilled cheese from the air fryer and let it cool slightly before serving.
