Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) unsweetened coconut milk
- ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) agar-agar powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- A pinch of sea salt
- 2-3 drops of blue food coloring
- Edible glitter or shimmer dust (optional)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, and sea salt. Whisk together until smooth.
- Sprinkle agar-agar powder into the mixture, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the mixture comes to a gentle boil, continuing to whisk for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and blue food coloring until well combined.
- Quickly pour the mixture into the silicone molds, filling each mold evenly.
- Place the molds in the refrigerator and let them set for at least 20 minutes or until firm.
- Carefully remove the sea lanterns from the molds and place them on a serving platter. Dust with edible glitter if desired.
