Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp (8g) garlic powder
  • 1 tsp (2g) paprika
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) onion powder
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • 1 tbsp (4g) fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or your air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat each tilapia fillet thoroughly dry with paper towels to ensure a proper sear.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  4. Brush both sides of the tilapia fillets with melted butter.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the seasoning blend over the fish, pressing it gently into the flesh to ensure it adheres.
  6. For baked: Bake for 10–12 minutes. For air fryer: Cook in a single layer for 8–10 minutes until edges are golden-brown and the center is opaque and flakes easily.
  7. Remove from heat and let the fish rest for 2 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  8. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and garnish with chopped parsley.
