Ingredients:

  • 60g unsalted butter
  • 15ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 30g garlic, minced
  • 1g red pepper flakes
  • 5ml fresh lemon zest
  • 450g imitation crab, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 15g fresh Italian parsley, finely chopped
  • 5g fresh dill or chives, minced
  • 15ml fresh lemon juice
  • 1g salt
  • 1g cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Place a large heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-low heat. Add the unsalted butter and extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Once the butter is foaming, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant and translucent, ensuring it does not brown.
  3. Increase the heat to medium. Add the imitation crab pieces to the skillet.
  4. Toss gently using a silicone spatula to coat the crab thoroughly in the garlic butter sauce.
  5. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the crab is heated through. Stir in the fresh parsley, dill, lemon zest, and lemon juice before serving.
