Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) large prawns, shelled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons (56g) unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Rinse prawns under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat until bubbling.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Do not burn.
  4. Toss prawns into the skillet, stirring to coat in the garlic butter.
  5. Cook prawns for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque; season with salt and pepper. If using, sprinkle in red pepper flakes.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat; stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  7. Plate the prawns, garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges, and enjoy immediately.
