Ingredients:
- 4 whole crabs (about 1.5 lbs each or 680 g)
- 2 tablespoons sea salt (for boiling)
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Clean the crabs under cold running water to remove any sand. Carefully drop crabs into boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes until bright orange.
- While crabs are cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes). Stir in lemon juice, parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Drain the crabs and let cool slightly. Crack the crab shells and remove meat if desired (optional). Add the crabs to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce.
- Toss crabs gently in the sauce, allowing them to soak up the flavors for about 2-3 minutes over low heat. Serve immediately on a platter.
