Ingredients:

  • 2 (4-6 ounce) tilapia fillets (115-170g each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (55g)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 tablespoon)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (1g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5g)
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper (0.5g)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Place tilapia fillets in the baking dish. Ensure they aren't overcrowded.
  4. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the tilapia fillets.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Check for doneness at 12 minutes – you don't want it to dry out!
  6. Garnish with lemon wedges (if using) and serve immediately.
