Ingredients:

  • 4 medium russet potatoes (about 225g each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (5g)
  • Optional: Freshly cracked black pepper, herbs, or seasoning of choice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Scrub the potatoes thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. Prick each potato with a fork in several places to allow steam to escape. Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
  4. Wrap each seasoned potato tightly in aluminum foil.
  5. Place the wrapped potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking tray. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a fork easily pierces the potato's flesh.
  6. Remove from the oven; let them rest for a few minutes in the foil. Carefully unwrap and add your favorite toppings.
