Ingredients:
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken drumsticks
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper, and stir well.
- Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Place chicken in a large resealable bag or a bowl and pour marinade over. Coat chicken evenly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place marinated chicken pieces in a baking dish, skin side up, and reserve excess marinade.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then baste with reserved marinade. Continue to bake for another 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Optional: Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for a crispier skin. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
