Ingredients:

  • 4 center-cut pork chops (boneless or bone-in, 1-inch thick)
  • 1/2 cup (60g) All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp (5g) Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp (5g) Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp (14g) Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup (170g) Honey
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Pat the pork chops completely dry with paper towels. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Dredge each chop in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter foams, add the pork chops. Sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove chops from the pan and set aside on a plate.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the pan drippings and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Whisk the sauce constantly for 2–3 minutes until it bubbles and thickens. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the glaze over the meat. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
