Ingredients:

  • 120 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 30 g fresh garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.25 tsp fresh black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Place the minced garlic and cold extra virgin olive oil into a small heavy-bottomed saucepan before turning on the heat to allow for gradual flavor extraction.
  2. Set the burner to low-medium heat. Stir frequently for 3–5 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and turns a very pale golden blonde. Immediately remove from heat to prevent burning.
  3. Stir in the sea salt, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, and black pepper while the oil is still warm. Let the sauce cool to room temperature before applying to pizza dough.
