Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) Tilapia fillets
  • 3 tbsp (42g) Unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves (15g) Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (2g) Dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) Salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp (4g) Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the tilapia fillets under cool water and pat them aggressively dry with paper towels. Place the fillets in a single layer in a 9x13 inch baking dish, ensuring they aren't overlapping.
  2. Lay lemon slices across the top of the fish to provide a flavor base and prevent sticking.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper until evenly distributed.
  4. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each fillet, using the back of the spoon to coat the entire surface.
  5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
