Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking dish or sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.
- Pat the tilapia fillets very dry using paper towels. Arrange them in a single layer in the prepared dish. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and season evenly with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, Italian herbs, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly incorporated into a fragrant paste.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each tilapia fillet, gently spreading it to cover the surface.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven, let rest for 2 minutes, and garnish generously with fresh parsley before serving immediately.
