Ingredients:
- 6 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets, patted dry
- 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp (15ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp (6g) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (6g) paprika
- 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp (5g) fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Lay the tilapia fillets on a plate and press firmly with paper towels to ensure they are completely dry.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, and lemon juice.
- Place fillets in the baking dish and brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of each fillet.
- Combine the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl, then sprinkle the mixture evenly across the fish.
- Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes until the fish turns from translucent to an opaque, bright white.
- Insert a meat thermometer to confirm the internal temperature has reached 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley immediately.
