Ingredients:

  • 6 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets, patted dry
  • 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp (6g) garlic powder
  • 1 tsp (6g) paprika
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (5g) fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Lay the tilapia fillets on a plate and press firmly with paper towels to ensure they are completely dry.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  4. Place fillets in the baking dish and brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of each fillet.
  5. Combine the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl, then sprinkle the mixture evenly across the fish.
  6. Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes until the fish turns from translucent to an opaque, bright white.
  7. Insert a meat thermometer to confirm the internal temperature has reached 145°F (63°C).
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley immediately.
