Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast (450g)
- 1/4 cup buttermilk (60ml)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional, for balance)
Instructions:
- Cut chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover with plastic wrap or seal in a zip-top bag. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Heat the grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F or 200°C).
- Remove chicken from marinade and grill for 5-7 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove from the grill, allow resting for a few minutes, then serve warm.
