Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225 g) squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
  • 8 oz (225 g) prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the squid and prawns under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels. Mince garlic and chop parsley. Zest and juice the lemon.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add squid rings to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until they begin to turn opaque.
  5. Add prawns. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Stir in lemon juice, zest, parsley, salt, and pepper. Combine well and cook for another minute.
  7. Plate immediately, garnished with lemon wedges.
