Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced (5g)
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced (5g)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup (60ml) honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (30ml)
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (15ml)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (15ml)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (5ml)
- 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
- Rinse shrimp under cold water; pat dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until well combined.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger; sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Add shrimp to the skillet; cook until they turn pink and opaque (about 2-3 minutes per side).
- Pour the sweet and spicy sauce over the cooked shrimp; cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat; garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
