Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (30ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced (5g)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced (5g)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (30ml)
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (15ml)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (15ml)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (5ml)
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Rinse shrimp under cold water; pat dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until well combined.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger; sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet; cook until they turn pink and opaque (about 2-3 minutes per side).
  5. Pour the sweet and spicy sauce over the cooked shrimp; cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Remove from heat; garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
