Ingredients:

  • 300g fresh snow peas, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 red chili, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and trim the ends of the snow peas.
  2. Place your wok or skillet over high heat until hot.
  3. Pour in the vegetable oil, swirling to coat the pan.
  4. Add garlic and ginger; stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the snow peas and red chili (if using); stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil (if using); mix well and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Remove from heat, season with black pepper, and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
