Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) fresh chicken livers, cleaned and trimmed
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying (about 4 cups or 1L)
Instructions:
- Clean and trim chicken livers, removing any connective tissue. Pat dry with paper towels and place in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
- Dredge each liver in the seasoned flour, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off excess flour and lay livers on a plate. Chill for 30 minutes.
- In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Working in batches, carefully add livers to hot oil, being cautious to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove livers from oil. Place on paper towels or a wire rack to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
