Ingredients:

  • 250 grams oyster mushroom stalks
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1½ tablespoons oyster sauce
  • ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • ⅓ tablespoon brown sugar
  • ¼ tablespoon black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon dark soy sauce

Instructions:

  1. Clean and drain the oyster mushroom stalks thoroughly.
  2. Tear or cut the stalks into your preferred size.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sesame seeds, sesame oil, oyster sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, and dark soy sauce.
  4. Add the mushroom stalks to the bowl and mix well, ensuring even coating. Squeeze the stalks gently to soften them.
  5. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Spread the marinated stalks in a single layer on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the dried mushroom stalks and fry until crispy, about 3-5 minutes.
  7. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot as a snack or appetizer, or enjoy them as a vegetarian alternative.
