Ingredients:

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil (or Avocado Oil)
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse Sea Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Thoroughly wash and completely dry the sweet potatoes. Patting them dry is crucial for achieving crispy skin.
  2. Using a sharp fork, pierce each potato deeply 5–6 times all over to allow steam to escape.
  3. Lightly brush or rub the potatoes all over with the olive oil. Sprinkle generously with sea salt and pepper, ensuring the skin is evenly coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes, if your model requires preheating.
  5. Place the seasoned potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes.
  7. Carefully flip the potatoes over. Continue cooking for another 5–15 minutes, depending on size, until the skin is taut and a fork slides easily into the center.
  8. Remove carefully from the air fryer. Slice open immediately and fluff the inside flesh with a fork before adding your desired toppings.
