Ingredients:
- 4 (4-6 ounce) white fish fillets (cod, haddock, or tilapia)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions:
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. In a bowl, drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place flour in one shallow dish, beaten egg in another, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme in the third dish.
- Dredge each fish fillet in the flour, shaking off excess. Then, dip it in the beaten egg, ensuring it's fully coated. Finally, press the fillet into the panko breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your model requires it. Lightly grease the air fryer basket. Place the breaded fish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they don't overlap.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is cooked through and the breading is golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
