Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 16 oz imitation crab, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 3 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
- 20-24 sheets wonton wrappers
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Fold in the mayonnaise, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and sugar until the mixture is a uniform, pale cream color.
- Fold in the finely chopped imitation crab and most of the sliced green onions.
- Transfer the mixture into an 8x8 inch baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Let the dip rest for 5 minutes to allow the fats to stabilize.
- Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan to 350°F (175°C). Cut wonton wrappers into triangles.
- Fry wonton triangles in small batches for 30-60 seconds until light golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels, and immediately sprinkle with salt.
- Garnish the dip with toasted sesame seeds, a drizzle of sweet chili sauce, and the reserved green onions.
