Ingredients:
- 8 ounces (225g) imitation crab meat, flaked or chopped
- 1/2 cup (120ml) mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup (60ml) finely chopped celery
- 1/4 cup (60ml) finely chopped red onion
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (like Tabasco), or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch of salt, or to taste
- Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
- Flake or chop the imitation crab meat into bite-sized pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Gently fold in the chopped celery, red onion, and hard-boiled eggs.
- Add the prepared imitation crab meat to the bowl.
- Gently fold everything together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, garnish with chopped dill or parsley (if using).
