Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs crab legs (Snow or King)
  • 2 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced

Instructions:

  1. Fill a large stockpot with 2 inches of water. Add lemon slices and smashed garlic. Bring to a rolling boil.
  2. Rinse crab legs under cool water to remove surface ice. Dust them with 1 tbsp of the Old Bay seasoning, rubbing it into the joints. Place the steamer basket into the pot and arrange crab legs inside. Cover with a tight lid and steam for 6 minutes for Snow Crab or 10 minutes for King Crab.
  3. While steaming, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Skim off white milk solids if desired. Whisk in garlic powder, smoked paprika, remaining 1 tbsp of Old Bay seasoning, and fresh parsley.
