Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) of tuna in water, drained (approximately 300g)
  • 1 cup (150g) celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup (75g) red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup (75g) sweet pickles or relish
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) lemon juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Open the tuna cans and drain the liquid thoroughly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the drained tuna, diced celery, red onion, and sweet pickles.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and combine gently but thoroughly with a spoon or spatula.
  5. Taste the salad and adjust seasoning with more salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.
  6. Chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before serving if you prefer it cold.
