Ingredients:
- 2 cans (5 oz each) of tuna in water, drained (approximately 300g)
- 1 cup (150g) celery, diced
- 1/2 cup (75g) red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup (75g) sweet pickles or relish
- 1/2 cup (120ml) mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp (15ml) lemon juice (freshly squeezed is best)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Open the tuna cans and drain the liquid thoroughly.
- In a mixing bowl, add the drained tuna, diced celery, red onion, and sweet pickles.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and combine gently but thoroughly with a spoon or spatula.
- Taste the salad and adjust seasoning with more salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.
- Chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before serving if you prefer it cold.
