Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil (30 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (30 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (15 ml)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated (5 g)
  • 4 heads baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: toasted sesame seeds or chopped scallions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
  2. Place halved bok choy in the marinade, cut-side down, and let sit for at least 5-10 minutes.
  3. Heat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Lightly season bok choy with salt and pepper. Place on the grill cut-side down for about 4-5 minutes, or until grill marks appear.
  5. Flip and grill for another 2-3 minutes until tender but still vibrant.
  6. Remove from the grill, optionally sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds or scallions, and enjoy!
