Ingredients:
- 1 ½ pounds salmon fillet, skin on
- 1 cedar plank, soaked in water for at least 1 hour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions:
- Soak cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, lemon zest, dill, lemon juice, and garlic. Mix until well blended.
- Prepare grill for medium heat (350°F/175°C), ensuring both sides are ready.
- Pat salmon dry with paper towels. Rub with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Place soaked cedar plank on the grill and close the lid for about 3-5 minutes until it begins to smoke.
- Place salmon skin-side down on the cedar plank. Brush generously with lemon-dill butter.
- Close the lid and grill for 15-20 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
- Carefully remove the plank from the grill. Serve the salmon directly on the plank or transfer to a platter. Drizzle with extra lemon-dill butter if desired.
