Ingredients:

  • Sufficient amount of Ice (fresh, large cubes)
  • 5 fl oz (45 ml) Vodka (quality, neutral spirit)
  • 4 fl oz (120 ml) Cranberry Juice (100% or low-sugar blend)
  • 1/4 fl oz (7 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 unit Lime wedge or wheel, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Chill the Glass: Fill a highball or Collins glass completely with ice cubes. If time permits, chill the glass in the freezer beforehand.
  2. Prepare Lime: Cut one lime wedge for the garnish and squeeze 1/4 fl oz (7 ml) of fresh lime juice.
  3. Add Vodka: Measure 1.5 fl oz (45 ml) of vodka and pour it directly over the ice in the chilled glass.
  4. Add Lime Juice: Pour the measured fresh lime juice into the glass.
  5. Top with Cranberry: Pour the 4 fl oz (120 ml) of cranberry juice into the glass.
  6. Stir Gently: Use a bar spoon to stir the mixture gently 3–4 times. This combines the ingredients without melting the ice too quickly.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Place the reserved lime wedge or wheel on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately.
