Ingredients:

  • 2 lobster tails (6-8 ounces each), thawed if frozen
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pat lobster tails dry with paper towels. Cut down the center of the lobster shell, from top to base, being careful not to cut through the bottom shell. Separate shell halves and loosen meat.
  2. Lift meat slightly out of shell, leaving the end of the tail attached. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, chives, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet. Brush generously with garlic-herb butter. Reserve remaining butter for basting.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and firm to the touch. Baste with the remaining butter halfway through baking. Optional: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  6. Garnish with extra parsley or a lemon wedge, if desired. Serve Immediately.
