Ingredients:
- 1 pound (454g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup (100g) Italian breadcrumbs
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup (60ml) olive oil, extra virgin
- 1/4 cup (5g) fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons (3g) fresh oregano, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon (1g) dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup (60ml) dry white wine (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs, minced garlic, olive oil, parsley, oregano (fresh and dried), red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well. Add white wine (if using) and stir.
- Add the shrimp to the breadcrumb mixture and toss until each shrimp is thoroughly coated.
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing.
