Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs Large Sea Scallops
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter, melted
- 3 cloves Garlic, grated
- 1 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 0.5 tsp Kosher Salt
- 0.25 tsp Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
- 0.5 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
- 4 Lemon Wedges
Instructions:
- Remove the small, tough side muscle from the scallops if present. Place the scallops between several layers of paper towels and press firmly. Let them sit for 5 minutes to ensure they are bone-dry.
- Preheat your broiler to high. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, grated garlic, fresh lemon juice, kosher salt, and black pepper.
- Arrange the dried scallops in a single layer on a large rimmed baking sheet or broiler pan.
- Drizzle the garlic butter mixture evenly over the scallops and sprinkle with smoked paprika for color.
- Place the pan under the broiler and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the scallops are opaque throughout and have developed a golden-brown crust.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
