Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Zest and juice of one lemon
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until fully liquid.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes or until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Stir in paprika, cayenne pepper, Old Bay seasoning, and dried thyme. Cook for another minute to toast the spices and enhance their flavors.
  4. Mix in both lemon zest and juice into the saucepan. This will add brightness to your sauce.
  5. Taste your sauce; add salt and black pepper as needed based on your preference.
  6. Let your seafood boil sauce simmer on low heat for an additional five minutes to allow all flavors to meld together beautifully.
  7. Pour over cooked seafood such as shrimp, crab legs, clams or mussels right before serving for maximum flavor impact! You can also serve it on the side for dipping.
