Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 ripe banana, sliced
- ½ cup sea moss gel (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup almond milk (or any preferred milk)
- 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- Fresh strawberry slices
- Granola
- Chia seeds
- Shredded coconut
- Nuts (almonds or walnuts), chopped
Instructions:
- Prepare the Sea Moss Gel: If using homemade sea moss gel, rinse about a quarter cup of dried sea moss thoroughly and soak it in water overnight. Drain and blend with approximately one cup of fresh water until smooth. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
- Blend the Base: In a blender, add the fresh strawberries, banana, sea moss gel, almond milk, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon if using. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust Consistency: Check the consistency of your smoothie mixture. If its too thick for your liking, add an extra splash of almond milk and blend again until you reach your desired thickness.
- Serve in Bowls: Divide the smoothie mixture evenly between two bowls.
- Add Toppings: Top each bowl with fresh strawberry slices, granola, chia seeds, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts according to your preference.
