Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw sea moss (dried)
  • 2 cups water (for soaking)
  • 4 cups water (for blending)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the raw sea moss under cool running water to remove any debris or salt.
  2. Place the rinsed sea moss in a bowl and cover it with 2 cups of fresh water. Allow it to soak for 12 to 24 hours at room temperature.
  3. (After soaking) Drain any excess water from the bowl and rinse the soaked sea moss under cool running water again.
  4. Transfer prepared sea moss gel into an airtight container and store in refrigerator for up to two to three weeks.
  5. Add one to two tablespoons of gel to smoothies, use as thickener in soups or sauces, or incorporate into desserts like puddings or ice creams.
