Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 medium ripe banana, sliced and frozen (optional)
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (or your preferred non-dairy milk)
  • 2 tablespoons sea moss gel (prepared from dried sea moss according to package instructions)
  • Juice of half a lime
  • Fresh pineapple slices or chunks, for garnish
  • Sliced banana
  • (about 1/4 cup granola per bowl)
  • (1 tablespoon chia seeds per bowl)
  • (about 1 tablespoon toasted coconut flakes per bowl, optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Sea Moss Gel (if not pre-made): Rinse about a cup of dried sea moss under cold water. Soak it in a bowl of water overnight or at least for four hours until it expands. Drain and rinse again. Blend with fresh water until smooth; this is your sea moss gel.
  2. Blend the Smoothie Base: In a high-speed blender, combine the pineapple chunks, frozen banana slices (if using), coconut milk, prepared sea moss gel, and lime juice. Blend on high speed until you achieve a creamy and smooth consistency.
  3. Taste & Adjust Flavor: Give it a taste! If you prefer it sweeter, consider adding honey or agave syrup as desired.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Pour the smoothie mixture evenly into two bowls. Decorate each bowl with fresh pineapple pieces, sliced bananas, granola sprinkled over top, chia seeds for crunch and nutrition, toasted coconut flakes if desired, and fresh mint leaves as garnish.
