Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 4 cloves Fresh Garlic, freshly minced
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
Instructions:
- Gently melt the 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a small saucepan over very low heat. Avoid high heat, as the key is infusion, not frying.
- Add the freshly minced garlic (4 cloves) to the melted butter. Allow the garlic to 'sweat' gently over low heat for approximately 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. This low-temperature infusion process extracts the deep, sweet flavors without causing bitterness.
- Stir in the dried oregano (1 teaspoon), kosher salt (1/2 teaspoon), and red pepper flakes (1/4 teaspoon, if using) until well combined.
- Remove the sauce from the heat immediately. Stir in the fresh parsley (2 tablespoons). Serve warm as a dipping sauce for pizza crusts, or brush onto the pizza base or edges before or after baking.
