Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 4 cloves Fresh Garlic, freshly minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Gently melt the 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a small saucepan over very low heat. Avoid high heat, as the key is infusion, not frying.
  2. Add the freshly minced garlic (4 cloves) to the melted butter. Allow the garlic to 'sweat' gently over low heat for approximately 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. This low-temperature infusion process extracts the deep, sweet flavors without causing bitterness.
  3. Stir in the dried oregano (1 teaspoon), kosher salt (1/2 teaspoon), and red pepper flakes (1/4 teaspoon, if using) until well combined.
  4. Remove the sauce from the heat immediately. Stir in the fresh parsley (2 tablespoons). Serve warm as a dipping sauce for pizza crusts, or brush onto the pizza base or edges before or after baking.
