Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tbsp Avocado oil
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 0.5 tsp Kosher salt
- 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
- 4 strips Thick-cut bacon, diced
- 0.5 cup Kewpie mayonnaise
- 0.25 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
- 1.5 tbsp Sriracha
- 1 tsp Rice vinegar
- 0.5 tsp Honey
- 2 Green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp Toasted sesame seeds
- 1 pinch Red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Wash the Brussels sprouts and pat them completely dry with paper towels to ensure crispness. Trim the woody ends and slice each sprout in half vertically, keeping any loose leaves.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the sprouts and any loose leaves with avocado oil, salt, garlic powder, and cornstarch until evenly coated. Add the raw diced bacon to the mixture.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the sprout and bacon mixture in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until edges are charred and centers are tender.
- While sprouts roast, whisk together the Kewpie mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and honey in a small bowl until smooth.
- Transfer the hot, crispy sprouts to a bowl and toss immediately with the bang bang sauce. Garnish with sliced green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes before serving.
