Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp Avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 0.5 tsp Kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 4 strips Thick-cut bacon, diced
  • 0.5 cup Kewpie mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tsp Rice vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp Honey
  • 2 Green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 pinch Red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Wash the Brussels sprouts and pat them completely dry with paper towels to ensure crispness. Trim the woody ends and slice each sprout in half vertically, keeping any loose leaves.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the sprouts and any loose leaves with avocado oil, salt, garlic powder, and cornstarch until evenly coated. Add the raw diced bacon to the mixture.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the sprout and bacon mixture in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until edges are charred and centers are tender.
  4. While sprouts roast, whisk together the Kewpie mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and honey in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Transfer the hot, crispy sprouts to a bowl and toss immediately with the bang bang sauce. Garnish with sliced green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes before serving.
