Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6oz each)
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or basil) for garnishing

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Marinate for at least 15-30 minutes in the fridge.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. For grilling: Remove salmon from marinade, place skin-side down on the grill, and cook for 6-8 minutes per side or until cooked through. For baking: Transfer salmon to a baking sheet, pour some marinade on top, and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. Plate the salmon, drizzle with remaining marinade, and garnish with fresh herbs.
