Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170 g) tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 tsp (3 g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 g) black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2 g) paprika
  • 4 tbsp (57 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves (12 g) garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp (1 g) dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp (4 g) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with lemon slices. Use paper towels to pat each tilapia fillet bone-dry, then season both sides evenly with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and dried thyme until the garlic is evenly suspended.
  3. Place the seasoned fillets atop the lemon slices in the baking dish. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over each fillet, coating every inch with a spoon.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, or reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Garnish with fresh parsley and a final squeeze of lemon.
