Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170 g) tilapia fillets
- 1/2 tsp (3 g) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1 g) black pepper
- 1/2 tsp (2 g) paprika
- 4 tbsp (57 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves (12 g) garlic, finely minced
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp (1 g) dried thyme
- 1 tbsp (4 g) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with lemon slices. Use paper towels to pat each tilapia fillet bone-dry, then season both sides evenly with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and dried thyme until the garlic is evenly suspended.
- Place the seasoned fillets atop the lemon slices in the baking dish. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over each fillet, coating every inch with a spoon.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, or reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Garnish with fresh parsley and a final squeeze of lemon.
