Ingredients:

  • 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 8 oz imitation crab meat (surimi), flaked
  • 3 tablespoons green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or chives, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  2. Gently flake the imitation crab meat into bite-sized pieces. Pat dry if excess moisture is present.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Incorporate the mayonnaise and sour cream until fully blended.
  4. Gently fold in the flaked crab, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Spoon the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar/Jack cheeses evenly over the top surface.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dip is thoroughly heated through, bubbling around the edges, and the cheese topping is melted and starting to turn golden brown.
  7. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh herbs, if desired. Serve immediately while hot with sturdy chips or crackers.
