Ingredients:
- 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 8 oz imitation crab meat (surimi), flaked
- 3 tablespoons green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or chives, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- Gently flake the imitation crab meat into bite-sized pieces. Pat dry if excess moisture is present.
- In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Incorporate the mayonnaise and sour cream until fully blended.
- Gently fold in the flaked crab, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Spoon the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar/Jack cheeses evenly over the top surface.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dip is thoroughly heated through, bubbling around the edges, and the cheese topping is melted and starting to turn golden brown.
- Let the dip rest for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh herbs, if desired. Serve immediately while hot with sturdy chips or crackers.
